BBK College was established in the year 1971. Arabic subject was introduced in the college in the same year. At first, only general course was introduced. But in the year 2007, the college authority introduced Arabic as major subject in the degree level. Department got Govt. Major concurrence. The Arabic department is running with three faculty members. Honours and Regular courses are added at the UG level. Apart from regular classes, faculty members also encourage the students for seminar, group discussion, quiz competition and other activities related to national and international issues.
Arabic is a branch of semitic language. It is an international language recognized by the UNO. Its demand has been increasing day by day for the purpose of international communication and trade.
